About MeI graduated from Columbus State University with my degree in Early Childhood Education. I obtained my master's degree in Elementary Education from Troy University. This is my fourth year teaching at North Columbus Elementary School.
I am a Columbus native and enjoy having the life-long relationships that I have formed through my life in Columbus. My husband and I enjoy spending time together outdoors and taking spur of the moment weekend day trips with our Boxer, Gatsby. It is so important to keep a sense of adventure in your life at all times! My hobbies include reading, running, and spending time with family. Teaching is a true passion of mine. I enjoy every minute in the classroom! |
Classroom Theme |
My classroom theme is based around nature and camping. I love the outdoors and I want to share that love with my students. My main goal is for my students to have a sense of purpose the minute they walk into my classroom. I hope that they will feel comfortable in every area of my classroom - from the "larger than life" tree in the corner to the tent in the reading nook! It is important to me that my students are comfortable and feel welcome in my classroom. I truly believe that this helps students to learn more and feel free to share any thoughts they may have about the curriculum and/or just life itself!
